In January and February this year, Community Impact Bucks partnered with Aylesbury-based radio station Mix96 to launch VolunteeringBucks, with presenters trying their hand at volunteering, getting local people fired up about volunteering, increasing awareness of the wide range of volunteering opportunities in Buckinghamshire – and showing how easy it is to get involved!

The campaign focused on giving Buckinghamshire-based volunteers from 5 local not-for-profits: Bucks Search & Rescue, Chiltern Music Therapy, Chiltern Rangers, Enrych and Youth Concern a chance to have their voices heard, and to demonstrate the multiple benefits to be gained from volunteering.  It also served to raise the profile of each of these organisations.

There was a real buzz on social media about volunteering in the lead up and during the campaign – and a large number of people signed up to our brand new Discover Volunteering newsletter – to subscribe yourself, either enter your details in the pop up box on the home page, or email us (volunteer9@communityimpactbucks.org.uk).
