Describe what your charity does: We offer a wide range of treatments and therapies that help people with MS maintain mobility, cope with disability and achieve an improved quality of life. www.chilternsmscentre.org

Are you looking for volunteers currently: Yes we are looking for volunteers to help with fundraising events, on reception and also in the café

Which areas do you cover: Thame and Aylesbury Vale

What kind of cause: Supporting young adults’

Describe what your charity does: Supports young adults become productive members of their local communities by combining practical work experience and confidence building through mentoring and employment over a 12 week period. www.eyai.co.uk

What kind of cause: Enabling disabled adults

Describe what your charity does: Enrych is a small local charity that supports disabled people to enjoy active and independent lives. Everyone has the right to enjoy life and make choices about what they do. However, many people with disabilities face barriers every day which can limit independence and choice and may lead to isolation or depression.

Enrych pub lunchEnrych works with people to recognise their potential and supports them to take up the leisure or learning activities of their choice.

Describe what your charity does: Buckinghamshire Mind is an independent charity providing high quality services to support and represent people with mental health needs in the local community. We work to provide a voice for people with mental health needs, to fight stigma and campaign to influence policy and decision making locally. We are committed to making sure our services are inclusive and meet the diverse needs of people in Buckinghamshire. Buckinghamshire Mind is run by local people for local people and is responsible for its own funding and the services it provides. What kind of cause: Enriching lives of vulnerable people

Describe what your charity does: An organic farm that provides opportunities for people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health problems to work on the farm.

AFarm Photos Vana Trustre you looking for volunteers currently:

  • Volunteer Farm Support Workers – to support individuals with special needs with farm and gardening activities. Tuesdays and/or Thursdays
  • Volunteer Gardeners – To be able to undertake a range of gardening tasks unsupervised
  • Farm Committee Members – to join our small group and be involved in developing the farm and fundraising events, we meet up once a month on a Monday evening

What kind of cause: Adults with Learning Difficulties

Describe what your charity does: Provides Day Opportunities and Social evening clubs across Bucks. Supporting Adults with Learning Difficulties with socialising and accessing their local communities. www.social-link.co.uk

Are you looking for volunteers currently: Yes particularly for our Monday evening Social Club in Beaconsfield which runs every week from 7pm – 10pm. Supporting young adults with learning difficulties to socialise as a group. (Pubs, restaurants, bowling, dance, art, cooking etc..)

What kind of cause: Activities for Adults with Disabilities

Describe what your charity does: We provide drama workshops for adults with learning disabilities on Saturday afternoons. No auditions necessary.  Activities are provided to suit the participants’ capabilities.
Craft and afternoon tea for adults that have learning disabilities or special needs on the 3rd Monday of every month. www.ihaveavoicetoo.org
